BFG – Craftworld Eldar Fleet

IMG_0820Given I had some of the ships out of the case for this for the last post I thought I would throw up some pictures of the full Craftworld Eldar fleet I own too. As you can see it is rather small, only coming to 1,000pts which makes it the smallest fleet I own. This is partly because of the lack of choice in the fleet list – effectively two different cruiser classes and a hard to find escort class – and partly because this fleet is supposed to sit with my 2,000pt Corsair Eldar fleet to make a full sized fleet (yes the page says 1,200pts – it has gotten bigger since then!)

IMG_0824The fleet is a single Dragon ship, which is just a more heavily armed Wraithship, armed with Torpedoes and Pulsar Lances, and the four Wraithships previously featured. Generally this means that the fleet is prretty vicious for 1,000pts, with a wealth of Launch Bays, Eldar Torpedoes, and Pulsar Lances making it very strong, while the lack of resilience (all the cruisers are only 6DC) and lack of range are its two drawbacks.

IMG_0821Obviously I still need to paint the Dragon ship at the centre of the fleet, but this should be a relatively simple job that I can get around to soon. I haven’t decided whether to paint the sail dark blue to better tie it in with the Corsair fleet, or to paint it dark red and tie it in better with the Wraithships.

Hope  you guys are having a good summer!
