Batrep: Exterminatus – Tau vs. Imperial Navy – Turn 5

Hi guys,Welcome back to the very slow moving BFG batrep! This post has the closing turns of the game as it all goes badly wrong for the Imperials!

The Imperial Dominator fires on the nearby Tau vessel, doing nothing.

The Emperor slides onwards and fires backwards on the Tau Hero class - knocking down two shields but doing no damage

The Enforcer turns and races towards the planet, hoping to head off the closing Tau ships - it fires on the Hero, but fails to even scratch it

Flipping into the Tau turn, the Hero manages to roll to exterminate the planet - winning the game for the Tau

Sadly, my Gothic class cruiser failed to come on the entire game. Really I don’t think it would have made much difference – I mucked up my deployment by splitting the ships I had on the board, and made the mistake of moving my ships too aggressively toward the Tau fleet. My opponent also made the most of my lack of maneuverability and leveraged his torpedoes to put me on the back foot.
Sorry this batrep took so long to finish up – work and real life 😦

    1. Thanks Nachthall!

I really like doing them, but they take up alot of time / posts. Hopefully I should have some more BFG and Epic ones to come next year.
