Welcome back guys!
At the start of the second turn neither fleets manages to get any reinforcements. I place a marker near the smaller moon, while Mike, my opponent places one in the line of my Gothic.
The crippled Emissary glides close to asteroids, hoping to live just a little while longer
The Gothic continues in a straight line, just manages to get the Emissary in its arcs and locks on, causing 3 points of damage and hulking the sneaky Tau
Start of turn three, two Dominator class cruiser arrive for the Imperials
The Gothic continues towards the smaller planet
Drifting close to the Gothic, the Emissary hulk releases debris confusing the Gothics sensors
Just as a Solar Flare breaks out across the board, a Tau Protector appears on the Gothic’s sensors. Firing and loosing torpedoes, the Protector scores no damage – but rogue torpedoes detonate aboard the hulk of the Emissary which explodes – causing 1 DC damage to the Gothic!
The Dominator squadron turns gently, lining up thier Nova Cannons on the exposed Protector
Following the barrage from the Nova Cannons, the Protector takes seven damage, bracing away three. This still leaves it crippled though!
